Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.
Applications are now open and can shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the following criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home by using a combined gross household earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined household profits will not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and need not post any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The nsfas 2025 NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the correct Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are studying or plan to research at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who 2025 nsfas application wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
